Certificate Level:

Diploma Level:

The Certificate in Counselling and Psychology program is designed to be completed in:
3 trimesters (1 year) Level 5
It can be covered as one of the following modes:
Face-to-Face Mode
This is through lectures and tutorials using notes, electronic presentations, instruction manuals, group discussions, practical laboratory demonstrations, and fieldwork.
Open, Distance Learning and e-Learning
In case of delivery through ODeL, special arrangements shall be made for the practical skills. Where not feasible alternative arrangements will be made to do them on campus.
Blended Learning
This is a hybrid of face-to-face with Open, Distance Learning and e-learning

Entry Requirements
Certificate in Counselling and Psychology
An individual entering this course should have any of the following minimum requirements:
- a) National Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E.) with a minimum mean grade of D (plain) Or
- b) Counselling Psychology Certificate Level 4 Or
- c) Equivalent qualifications as determined by Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA)
Diploma in Counselling and Psychology
A trainee entering this course should have any of the following minimum requirements:
- a) Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C- (Minus). Or
- b) Counselling Psychology Certificate Level 5. Or
- c) Equivalent qualification as determined by Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA)
